Front mouted intake
I was thinking of replacing my AEM intake and wondered if anyone had any expiriance with the front mounted number with the removable plexiglass front for track use? HP gains, I think it looks nice and fills the gap. Thoughts?
The latest issue of the JC Whitney "Sport Compact" catalogue has one of these, along with many other things that would make a riceboy blush.
Some of my favourites:
. Illuminated valve stem caps
. 'Style bars' (bars designed to look like a roll cage but that provide no structural support)
. 'Conversation starter' Japanese character kits, some of which are not even defined. That would be quite some conversation: "So, what do they say?" "Am, dunno". "Oh, ok. Would you like to sleep with me?"
. Stainless steel floor mats (WTF?)

stick with your aem....anything apc(A Piece of Crap) doesnt belong on a type R or any car for that matter, especially not that gay *** rigged intake.

Still I hate the gapping hole in the front, now grillcraft or whoever makes the mesh cover is ghetto, so short of putting in an intercooler what's a guy to do?
I like how integra's have a large hole as a grill in the bumper, I think it makes the car look pretty mean.
If you really need something to fill the gap, go to home depot and buy some wire mesh and put that on the inside of you front bumper, it looks much better than that grill craft crap, because the home depot way the mesh is actually inside the bumper, and not sticking out in front of it.
I say leave the large hole there, it looks great to me.
If not, then get a big shiny intercooler when you turbo your ITR.
