Default H22 into a Crx HF.....

I'm currently thinking about doing a H22 swap into a Crx HF and I was wondering, what kind of modifications, customizing, or products will I have to buy to make the engine fit and work properly? If anyone can help me with it, I would greatly appreciate it.

I was gunna do the same thing in my 88 but when I found out all the puonding cutting and rewelding I kinda thought its not really worth it when you can just swap and turbo a b16.

WOW nice write up you got on your site. One question though that I keep hearing from everyone is do you have to shave or bang out the firewall at all with your mount kit?

its really not worth the time and effort. to install an H and then have major traction issues just seemd dumb. as stated above got b and turbo

hey doin the h22 swap would be a bad decision.the h22 motor is set up perfect in a prelude becuz of the weight distribution.its set up perfect for the weight in front and back.the h22 weighs alot and if u put it in a crx it will be good for the 1/4 mile.if u plan on doin road racing or goin in and out of traffic fast then its not a good decision.jus cuz of the weight distribution in a crx or hatch it will be really heavy and not as fast as everyone thinks.a b16 might be a lil more money but i guarantee it will be faster

..... what?

it only weighs 35 lbs more then a gsr. so put a carbon fiber hood on the car and remove the front bumper support, guess what?

that weight distribution fo the car is pretty damn close to normal.

if you read jonathans site he weighed his completed daily driven h22 crx at 2020lbs

thats not heavy at all. and it handles fine.

stop spreading **** information.

I think the B-series oil pan sits pretty low as well, just make sure your shocks aren't blown.

I actually got a JDM H22 in my 89 CR-X, i bought the car from the previous owner i've asked about the whole modifications about how he got the motor in the car. ( Also known as the fastest CR-X here in Anchorage ) I was told he welded the mounts and converted the whole front chassis to a 92-95 Honda Civic Coupe/HB. ( Which come with break-discs) [ correct me if im wrong ]. He had professionals actually work on the car, all i know is that the whole front conversion chassis that they did was pretty god damn good . . . like they knew honda's from front to back.
But yeah'z thats just my story how I know about a JDM H-22 in a CR-X and yes the torque on it is beautiful . . u'll fall in love with the power It has once u engage on the clutch.
