i got my clutch replaced by a shop out here yesterday and the clutch was working just fine. today when i got up start the car, the clutch pedal seems like it has no pressure to push it back up. i know it could be a slave cylinder but how can u check? i know that there is one on the firewall and one on the tranny. tia.
I had this issue with my clutch, does it start to come back up after you've let the car run a bit. Mine would just stay on the floor after the car had sat for a while but only in the afternoon when it had been in the sun. In the morning it would work fine. I found that if I let the car run for a little while then the pressure would come back slowly. It turned out to be a faulty master cylinder. the guy said he had never seen one of those fail before though so hopefully that's not the case on yours, and I'd say this happened like 3 months after I got a new clutch put in. actually I'm not sure whether it was master or slave, it was the one that's attached to the firewall near the abs master, which ever that one is. let me know if that sounds like the problem you're having.
