Worth switching to OBD1 or 2?
Well I just got everything ready for my Y8 swap. Block is already in just waiting on head. The setup includes:
97 D16Y8 block bored .020 over
JE SRP 10.5:1 pistons
Eagle H beam rods
D16Y8 head
D16Y8 intake manifold
DC Sports 4-2-1 header
Akimoto short ram intake with HKS filter
Catback 2.5" exhaust
Gutted cat
Chipped PM6 with Y8 fuel maps
Now this is a 91 Si and I'm still running in OBD0. Will I see any real benefits converting to OBD1 or2?
Also what kind of power do you think this setup will put out? I don't expect it to be some miracle number, eventually I will either go N20 or small turbo.

Converting to OBD2 isn't a good idea, there's not a lot you can do, other than connect another harness for OBD2 - OBD1.
As for converting to OBD1, it's not a bad idea, but it's not 100% necessary. There are better tuning tools for it, but for a relatively tame setup like that, you've got everything you need with OBD0 using the PM6.

Thats what I thought. I got the Y8 fuel injectors and fuel rail with the head. So I think later on when I decide to go turbo or N20 I will go OBD1 and run Chrom
