i'm trying to take these damn pistons off my LS rods to put new B16 pistons onto the LS rods. i can't get the piston pin out of the piston without a press. anyone know of a way to get them out without a press? i tried putting a socket over the piston pin and go at it with a hammer but no luck. TIA

 

I had to do mine with a press. I heated them up pressing the wrist pin out and pressing it back in. Be careful though to make sure the pin goes in straight. The last one of mine got a little cocked and scarred the bore for the wrist pin and I had to get a new piston.
