Were you making a "hard" turn? Its possible to send the oil all to the right side of the pan and away from the pickup... especially on a left turn. Perhaps this is the problem?

i dont really think it was a hard hard turn, do you guys think this is just a fluk or a problem... ive noticed no performance or running problems..

If you have checked the oil level and made sure its fine, I would probably proceed with an oil pressure test to make sure the pump output is within spec. If that checks out, then perhaps you have some sludge or something blocking the oil pressure sending unit? I would check that, if you have another on hand, swap em real quick.

ya the oil level is fine, i checked that. can i go to a local auto parts store and get the pressure tested?? if the sensor is bad is this going to hurt anything, or is my car just going to think something is wrong.

I highly doubt you local parts store is going to do an oil pressure test for you since it involves removing fittings to tap into the oil supply output. A repair shop, maybe... a parts store? no.
If the sensor is bad then it shouldn't cause any problems. It would just have the potential to give incorrect warnings. I would not just write it off though until the oil pressure test was done. The sensor could be correct for all we know and you may have lost oil pressure. Anyway you look at it, this isn't a good thing.

Remember back when I told you that turning to the left causes the oil to shift right, AWAY from the pickup? Were comming back to the right now. You SURE 100% that the oil level is correct? It does NOT sound like a faulty sensor. You are clearly loosing oil pressure.

No, it is because you are turning left too hard and you do not have a baffled oil pan. How many times does some one have to say it.

Exactly... Well lets use some logic here.. you got your oil changed, thats IT... so
1). There isn't enough oil in the pan
2). The oil pickup is plugged
3). The oil pump suction is very weak
Obviously, for whatever reason, the pump is not getting enough volume of oil. Did they chnge the weight of the oil you used to run? Put something thicker in there perhaps? Maybe they went from 5w-30 to 10w-30? It hs to be something related to your oil change.

I guess i should check to make sure i got enough oil again. Seems weird to happen right after oil change. Mabye they didnt add enough or something..

Lets hope its a faulty sensor. Because when this happened to my d16z6, getting a few flashes from the oil pressure low light like you describe through a left turn my motor blew about two weeks later. Opened the engine to fried bearings and my oil level was fine!! Mechanic determined it was oil stravation when i was taking a hard left while on the throttle=fried bearings.

"They", just start doing your own oil changes it will save you this type of headache. Its not hard at all.
