i'm about to go b18c5 (not stolen...i promise you!) in my 91 Si. i know i'll have to launch a lil different than you cuz of the weight difference, but just out of curiousty, what do yall launch at? do you feather it out, or just dump the clutch? and then what do you usually shift at? all in terms of 1/4 mile race. thanks

I usually drop it and work the gas from about 4.5k or so. My best 60's have been from riding it around 5.5k. I shift at a tach indicated 8,700rpms.

 

I like to launch at 3500-4000 and I just dump the clutch. I used to feather the clutch, but for me it seems like you can get better consistency by just dropping it. I can get consistent 2.2 - 2.3 60ft times. I also shift just before fuel cutoff (8600)

 

wow...you guys have some nice times. 14.o's and 14.3's....sweet. i'm hoping to get solid 13's stock in my EF..i'm pretty sure i can, though one more thing...see if i have this right....'redline' is 8400 RPM, and fuel cut off is 8600 RPM? or is it different for some of the years? my stock tach in my Si only goes to 8K, so i'll need an aftermarket one
