Whats the best small radiator that is available for the 92-00 civic? Ive been looking at Koyo, Fluidyne, PWR, and OBX. Im leaning towards Koyo or PWR but if anyone knows of one better let me know.
I plan on using this in my turbo kit on my ZX2 for clearance issues. I need something that cools well and is small in size. Those half size dual cores would fit perfect for me. Just need to find one that will stop my engine from overheating.

 

I just got a koyo in my 00 civic si, fits pretty good, looks pretty good, and gets the job done

 

anyone have anymore input?

 

i have a koyo my self.

 

are aftermarket radiators thicker then stock??? I had to cut some of my radiator fan shroud out of the way to fit w/the turbo, and now i'm looking @ getting an aftermarket radiator, but if it's too thick it'll make things even tighter unless i get a slim fan or something.

PWR's are good to as is Griffin, as is C & R.

I don't think anyone is really going to have a problem with a radiator unless it deals with welds cracking or something, which I have never heard of from any of the mentioned companies. They all do their job well. Just pick the one the fits you price range or appearence for that matter. They pretty much all work

 

If you have the money, then a nice aluminum is perfect. IMO, the del sol dual core radiator will do just fine.

koyo fluidyne pwr you can't go wrong

 

Picked up a brand new del sol dual core. Been hearing good things about these when it comes to cooling down turbocharged engines. Hope it works better than my stock one did on my EM1.

 

I dont see the point of wasting $300 on an aluminum when mine stays perfectly cool and its a dual core all metal from radiatorbarn.com. Of course it looks better, and if I had a bunch of extra money I'd get one, but mine only cost $130 and its great. Full size too

 

i got a PWR from Laskey Racing/Earl, it works great. it came in about 3 days too.

as long as its aluminum its fine. Koyo, Fluidyne, there all really the same.

yes they are thicker that OEM, just buy a slim fan from vatozone and you will not have anymore clearance issues.

all good choices, i have a fluidyne, have installed c&r as well as koyo.

same here cant beat a great radiator that gets the job done while still looking good for only $75, I used a fluidyne before I tried the ebay radiator and the only difference between the 2 were looks

 

I'm impressed as hell. I ordered my del sol radiator and received it two days later. Brand spankin' new in a vaccuum sealed cardboard thing. Couldn't go wrong with it for the price. $4 + $35 shipping.

Just a quick question....what are the two extra ports used for? Does the del sol have oil running through there or something? They don't hook into the rest of the radiator. They're isolated from the rest of the cooling system. I'm thinking about maybe running my engine oil through 'em.

 

automatic tranny oil cooling capability......

 

hmmm, I'm thinking about letting my motor oil run through it.
