Default Repairing/replacing rusted plate at bottom of S2000 seat

I own a 2002 S2000. The seats were stolen and I bought replacement seats from a reputable salvage yard. They are in excellent condition, but the metal plate on the bottom of the seats is rusted because water had collected on the floorboard. The rust has caked a little, but the part is not rusted through. I could replace the metal plate with a new one or sand off the rust and prime it to prevent the rust from reoccurring. Has anyone done this? If so, how difficult is it to replace the plates? I called a local dealership and they said that the entire bottom seat had to be disassembled to replace them. I hope this is not the case. Any suggestions or guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks!

If you want to replace them, let me know. I have extra seat pans for the S2000. I used my second set of seats in my Integra. To do this, I had to swap seat pans from my now garbaged GSR seats. I didn't throw away the S2000 seat pans in case I wanted at some point in the future to throw the S2000 seats back into the S2000.

I doubt highly that I will be doing that though. The seat pans are sitting in my basement with an extra set of OEM sliders and rails.

Taking the seat pans out isn't tough. It's just tedious. The hog ties that I unclipped, I didn't reuse. I ended up using 1/8" thick, heavyduty zipties. They are easier to fasten and are cheap to replace if/when I need to take the seat covers off.

Thanks for your response. How much do you want for the seat pans? I will replace the hog rings. Any idea where I can get new ones (a hardware store, maybe)?
