Wheel not Rotating-What the hell????
Yea my hatch has been sitting for a longtime now(1 year) and when i went to go move it about a couple of days ago and the drivers side rear tire will not rotate at all. When you put it in gear the car feels like it doesn't want to go and as you pick up speed the drivers side rear tire just screams. Does anybody know what i can do so that the wheel will rotate? Has anyone else had this problem?

So the wheel is just staying still and you're dragging it and it's skidding along? It also sounds like a siezed caliper to me. Do you have rear discs or drums? Drums can sometimes sieze too if it's been sitting for a while.

Ummm...They are drum brakes. Im not pushing i can drive it but the tire just wont rotate it just doesn't move. I don't know if the e-brake was up while the car was parked.

If the caliper is siezed what do i have to do to undo it or something. Can i keep on driving it until the tire just comes loss and rotates or should i take off the tire and go from there.

So i should just spray some WD-40 on it and let it sit. F*** this **** i need rear brake conversion!

go at it like a mechanic man. first, jack up that wheel. try to turn it. if not, take the wheel off. turn the hub/drum assembly. if that wont turn, take the drum off (may have to hit it with a hammer if its stuck.) then take it off. then try to turn the hub. check to see if the pads are touching. if not, and the hub wont rotate, then maybe the bearing seized, but i cant imagine a car moving and the bearing not doing something. try this and PM me back.

no, take wheel off, hit drum with hammer. See if that works. If you can get the hub off some steel wool in there to take some of the rust off might be a good idea (assuming it is the shoe that siezed on)

Your brakes are definitely rusted. The shoe is stuck to the hub. When that happened to my car, I revved it up and let go and that freed it up enough until I could replace the brakes.
first of all get the wheel off and take the drum off (if the ebrake is stuck on or the shoes are stuck in the applied position its goin to be really hard to get the drum off)
so take the two holding screws that hold the drum on off then hit the drum with a BFH (big hammer) and try to pry the drum off
If that dont work you can take 2 bolts and screw them in the holes where the 2 holding screws where and tighten them little by little and that should slowly force the drum off after getting the drum off see if the hub rotates if it does you need to check the wheel cylnder to make sure its not siesed, to do this move the shoes side to side if they dont move then you need a new wheel cylnder
