car revs. on its own---not surging
hey lately my car has been reving up to about 3 grand on its own and sticking there. its not surging or anything because it wont dip down till i rev it up a bit. if anyone knows what this might be let me know, it just started out of no where so i dont know what it could be. thanks

make sure the throttle pulley is going all the way down to "non-adjustable"bolt. you could check your throttle cable tension and also take your tb off and clean it up.

Get some teflon lubricant and a motorcycle cable lube tool and lube the throttle cable, also lube the spring side of the throttle body, also try some carb and choke cleaner and clean off the butterfly and the interior pivot points( where the shaft comes through the TB
awesome this sounds right cuz i changed the cable after the intake man. switch.......i never really heard of people lubin the cable but i was thinkin the same thing. thanks guys
