I put the motor in, it starts up, and runs really rough, this motor has not been ran for a year+ been sitting in a garage. Yesterday i pulled the plugs out, not only was there oil in the intake manifold, there was oil on the spark plugs. I bought a new head gasket, because i used the old one although it was in good condition thought i could get by.. put the new one one, and cleaned out all the plugs, bought a new pcv valve. Yesterday it really sounds like its miss-firing, i figured it would because of the oil on the plugs.. not getting good enough spark. Again i think that is why its running rough, but i don't know why there is oil.. new headgasket, i also bought new valve cover seals.. no dieffernce. The motor is a 99' Gsr swapped into a 95 vx. I have hondata, but put the stock p72 in there, because the car came w/ a turbo set up.. but i am converting it to n/a for emissions.. till i can get it licensed and tuned ect ect. I bought a used block off of a forum, because last blocks sleeves were toast from the turbo.. that block is off a 95 gsr. Any ideas would really be helpful im stuck, and starting to get upset! ty in advance

 

any CEL?
as u said it mis fires, i assume it needs timing adustment.
not to mention the oil on plugs. is it just wet or like flooded all 4 plugs or just 1 ?
any oil in the radiator fluid?

 

the plugs were wet, not flooded.. on cylinders 1 & 2.. and i will check the CELs tomorrow cuz i have no workin battery, i keep using friends when he comes over lol.. uhmm timing shouldnt be off.. the lines on the cams are lined up w/ the head, and i had it on tdc when i lined up..? anymore ideas or thoughts?

you should check the plugs. if it's damaged in any way get new ones

 

they are brand new spark plugs, i stongly am believing its my piston rings, which is gay, cuz i have to take it all out again .. im doing a compression test tomorrow at like 3.. any other ideas? thoughts?..
