91 Civic Dx d16y8 Swap
I Have a d16y8 motor Obd 1. My Cars a 91 Civic Dx.
I was wonder if I should just use a full obd 1 d16y8 harness with p28 Ecu. Would that be fine or do I make mine obd 0 to obd 1 from rywires.
Link for the harness obd 0 to obd 1:

I need some feed back on this. I want to do this right the first time.
Thanks

You first need to convert to MPFI, I do know that. I don't know anything about obd1, so lets let someone else chime in here.

i was going to do the same thing, but sold my car. you need to convert to mpfi then use the rywire kit for dx to obd1. they also have the mpfi kit as well i think.

yeah you need to buy a mpfi conversion kit install it and then a odb1 conversion kit and install it then you'll be able to swap the engine without problems
I can do the mpfi for 50$ myself

Someone told me it's just a little more than running 2 wires. That sounds like it's not too bad at all. Take slow steps and it won't be bad at all.

yeah, if you want to do the DPFI to MPFI yourself that's cool.
You'll still want the ECU jumper for sure, pin the distributor plug with the OBD1 plugs.
Remember that you barely need to cut anything, de-pin anything you can.
