see how its cut?? the exhaust one has them on all the lobes. like it was mached bad or something?? is this okay??? as long as the rockers make full contact on the lobe right??

 

Hmm, it looks like it can still "catch" on the rockers. I'd definitely talk to them about it. I've never seen any cam designed like that on purpose.

never noticed that on the Rocket m22 cams. Definately try and post another picture with more light towards that spot.

 

i think that looks weir but they line up togehter so i think that its meant to be there...i just dont know for what reason

 

I saw itt before on another set of m22s it still works fine purely cosmetic.

Actually those are the plugs rocket sell with his cam package. they have proven quite a few times to be worth a few hp.

 

cant vouch for the cams but i can vouch for the plugs.

 

I have seen that on one other set of m22s. i called rocket, he said they were fine, he was exactly right.

10k miles later and no rocker arm damage

take a better pic with more light on that spot, and PM rocket or emial him, he will take care of you if there is a problem

For a long time I thought autolite were crap too, but come to find out the plug works good in a lot of motors. In japan, people run them on the nissan turbo RB's.

 

Mine look the same way... I thought I was being paranoid...

 

that's how mine are too...after about 15k though they're still fine. I lined them up on the head before i installed them and the lobes does line up with the rockers...they should be fine

 

yea those cams look good just run em you bitch! blow up that ******* single cam motor ***** go k series. just sell more drugs get few boats of XTC and sell em u'll be fine!

I'd personally ask for your money back? If they sell cams with visible defects like that, what else do they sell or let slide? Besides, it's a simple process that they screwed up on!

 

That is not a defect. Some cores come like that from the manufacturer. What it looks like sideways has no effect performance.

If you want, repackage that cam carefully and I can send one that looks better.

Does Trackspeeds 230whp ITR motor shake your head? They run the plugs.

my M22 exhaust cam had similar edges on the lobes....so far no problems after like 25k miles

 

i can vouch for rocket, his products are top notch and he deffinatly goes the extra mile to help you out.

 

As we have all seen, there have been a number of sellers/gurus/hopefuls etc that have fallen on the wayside. This is not an easy market but we are still here.

We are continue to go foward with what we have been doing which is providing a high quality alternative to the big name brands that have better marketing budgets than we do.

 

As long as it causes no problems install them and let us know how it went! Hopefully I'll be ordering some soon!
