Default oddometer quit at 204500

95 accord EX
vtec 4 cylinder
4 speed auto trans

I have 2 seperate non related problems. The oddometer just flat out quit. The speedo and cruise are still woring great as usual. I looked in Haynes manual not a mention of a speedo cable or pick up. Any quick checks before I have to tear apart dash? Maybe a bad connector?

2nd unrelated is the ABS light was coming on after about an hour. Turn off the key and back to normal for another hour.
Now it comes on after a few minutes and will not always reset if you shut off key for only a few minutes. I noticed after starting there seems to be some kind of a pump running for a few seconds. This repeats often during operation. Any suggestions or checks for the sensors or pump. I can't seem to locate this pump.

Neither problem effects operation of vehicle. The motor trans and everything else works and runs smoothly.

It's Cluster Time! Unfortunately, it's all internal to the dash cluster. If it were anything else (exterior) to the cluster, both the Speedo, the Odometer and the Trip Meter wouldn't work.

Here's the illustration fot the ABS Modulator Assembly (which includes your pump)

I'd check for low brake fluid and associated leaks first

Thanks for the reply. I figured as much but was hoping it might be a simple solution. I guess I'll see what I can get one for from ebay.

The ABS problem runs fine and for the cost of repair I'll do it the old fashion way and just pump the brakes when neccessary. No leaks of brake fluid and new pads all the way around.

Thanks again appreciate the link also. May try to rebuild myself when time allows.

Try pressing the button to reset your maintnence indicator a few times. That will usually fix it.
