NEED HELP ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok here is the story. Swapped my DOHC ZC motor from my crx to my dx hatch. Did the mpfi swap and as far as I can tell the wiring is correct. First tried to turn it over feul pump wouldn't prime. So put in a new one. Still wouldn't prime. Swapped main relays and still nothing. Sooo I put the feul pump on a switch but now the car isn't getting spark. Before I swapped feul pumps the car would run a little when I sprayed gas into the intake but now nothing. Not throwing any codes. Any body have any idea what could be wrong? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
yes...I've checked all my grounds. I've run out of things to check, that I can think of. I guess I will just have to back over my wiring again.
when you did the multiport swap are you 100% sure the 2 white wires are in the correct place from the distributor plug?
Im not sure if this relates to you as I think the ZC has a square plug as opposed to the SI's round one...but if you did switch any distributor wire pins, double check if the white wires were switched properly as that WILL determine if you get spark

No I didn't have to switch any distributor wires, the dx harness just plugs right into the zc plugs. None of the How To's I read said anything about having to switch any distributor wires. The only thing that comes to mind about that is the c1/c2 wires that have to run to the exhaust cam sensor. I thought I might have those backwards but I switched them around and still got nothing.
Any idea what would cause the feul pump not to work properly? I changed the main relay from the hatch with the one from my crx and it still didn't work. Would it be ok to just run power for the feul pump from any 12v source that comes on with the ignition? Oh and one other thing....would the dx distributor happen to work on my zc motor? If it will I will try switching those and see if that helps. Thanks again for the replies.

it would work if you could get it bolted on

did u check the fuel pump with a meter yet?u might have a open wire some wire in the fuel pump harness.ok u need to find zc dizzy i wouldnt use the dx or si one. and u need to get si harness and box so u dont have to wire anything up.cause it sounds like there something fucked up in the wiring.did u check any of your fuses?btw what ecu are u trying to use?i seen a site with the pin out for the dizzy and the cps ill try to find it and post it up for ya.

check your fuses. i think its the "altenator selinoid" one or something that always pops on mine which in turn, will not prime the pump or get spark... but definately check the ecu fuse and all the fuses under the dash.
also because when the ignition switch is set to on(starter isnt engages yet)....the fuel pump is supposed to prime for a few seconds....therefore find a diagram from your year honda(just search google)....and record what wires are getting power when the ignition switch is on and compare to the diagram..THis is vital because a lot of wires run off common supplies according to the diagrams therefore it can be narrowed down eventually to the fuel pump related wires.
it may take a little while but if you do want the pump to engage you have to do the necessary troubleshooting...I spent hours and hours checking my complete engine related wiring when my coil wasnt getting a signal,,,it ended up being 2 switched wires,,,however it was well worth the checking as everything else was working.....Im sure you have already done this but if you havent, check the fuses and continuity with a test light from all of the wires in the black panel in the engine bay....every single wire and fuse should have power when the ignition switch is set to on

Thanks for all the suggestions. I did check all my fuses and none seemed to be blown. And I havn't checked the pump with a meter yet. I pulled the harness back out of the car and I'm going to make sure everything is right. I read somewhere that when doing the mpfi swap that some of the wires can interfere with each other? I had all of the wires taped and loomed together so I will seperate them this time and see if that helps.
Also I'm using an automatic PG7 ecu (car is automatic). Oh and as for the dx distributor not matching up with the zc, could I just take the internals (coil and ignitor) and swap them into my zc distributor? Oh and agian thanks for the help.

Im not sure the compatability of the dx with zc dizzy parts but the coil and ignitor should work.
Also the dx dizzy doesnt have a crank angle sensor while the zc one does so you have to use the zc dizzy. If you think the zc distributor is shot, then do the multimeter tests. There is a site on the net that has the easiest troubleshooting guide to testing the coil and ignitor. I cant think of the address right now but just search for honda troubleshooting or somethign on google.
