b18b into a ek swap problem
alright here we go. well when i bought the engine from hmotorsonline it came with everything beside the harness that connect to the ecu.
the difference is that 96 ek wire goes through the firewall and the b18 connect to another wire that didnt have to be taken out in order to do the swap thing.
we had to cut some wires up and made our own wire harness for it.
well the main problem is that the rpm keep on going up and down but the engine is still idling. and sometime the eninge just shut off on me.
well before that happen i wash my car and my hood doesnt have the water nozzle for the window im not sure whats that called but hopeffully you guys know what im talking about, well get back to the point i wash my car with holes in the hood would that damage my intake manifold to make the engine shut off and jump like that. some people said its my fuel pump and fuel filter. bc ive swap a bigger engine and i needed a bigger fuel pump or somehting like that.
anyone knows what is wrong with the swap is it the intake manifold or the throttle body going bad or bad sensor or fuel pump or what any clue anyone? help is most appreciated.
oh im sorry for the grammar issue im not totally good with the grammar thing sorry but i hope you guys can help me out a lil bit

did you convert it from a 3 wire iac to a 2 wire iac? did you swap the 2 pins at the ecu?
i use this swap guide. it will help you.

you need to move pin A14 to A12. that should solve your problem.

what is iac?
and all i did to the wiring is cut the wire from the cx and convert most of the wiring harness like the one on the intake manifold. the orginal only have 2 wire and the new one have three so i only use two. is that bad?

iac = idle air control motor
the one on the cx engine should have been a 3 wire and the one on the b18 should be a 2 wore. go over the swap outline and make sure you did all of it. chances are it is in the wiring either at the iac or at the ecu.
