Engine swapped problem need help b18b into ek
hey everyone well i have a b18b in my ek and now im experiencing couple of problem but the major problem is that my car wont start. well ive drove it around the city for like a week or so then i started have idle problem it was going up and down at 1500 and sometime the engine would just shut off. ive asked many people and they told me it was the tps sensor so i needed to change that out so i did. for like 30 min or so then id turn off the engine to see if the engine would start back up which it didnt. then everyone said it was my fuel pump so ive change out my fuel pump and everything but it still didnt work?
what ive done so far is check all the fuses, change the tps, change the fuel pump, change the fuel filter, took my starter out and tested and it works perfectly, checks my ecu swapped out my ecu with another one but that still didnt work.
anyone with same problem or knowledge of what the hell is going on with my engine please help me out im in desperate need......

Maybe you don't have fuel going in your engine. Check your injectors if its clean. If that don't work do you have a v-tec controller because I had a similar problem, I changed my IAC and my IAB my fuel filter swap ECU and swap fuel regulator, but had the same problem. I was not getting enough fuel in the motor so I had to add fuel by changing my settings on my V-tec controller. If not the only thing to do is to check all the wiring on the motor and see if it all matches up....

well i took the small bolts on the fuel filter and turn the ignition key but no fuel was coming out.;...and about the vtec hmmm i dont have vtec i have a b18b ls engine, but my plan is to take the wire harness off and to go over it again.

Re: (LVB18Civic)
sounds more and more like your relay is bad since you already replaced the pump.
I know there's a few threads on here somewhere detailing how to check the relay.

Re: (trus01d1er)
Had the same kind of deal on my B18B into a 96 DX hatch swap. Turned out to be an unplugged vacuum line on the back of the intake manifold on the idling thing.
As for your car not starting...I'd check fuses and the main relay first off. As long as yoru starter isnt' bad of course....

Re: (trus01d1er)
Ust because you bought a new starter doesn't mean its good. Check for a 12 volt signal on the starter itself and make sure you aren't dropping too much voltage during starting.
The Main Relay is behind your glove box bolted to the frame in a 96-00 Civic.

Re: (trus01d1er)
Check and make sure you have fuel pressure, then check to make sure you have spark. If you don't have one of the two then you know where to look. If you have fuel, spark, and your starter is good then I really dunno what to tell you.
