Hey man, can't go wrong with a G2 Integra. No offense, but it sounds like you have A LOT to learn, so I'd just get the car and hold off on mods for a while. Chikara makes decent stuff, but no respected tuners have them on their cars. Also, you make LS/VTEC sound simple and easy. It isn't, it's difficult and expensive. So again, I'd definitely get the Integra, but wait a while before the mods.

If you have enough, try a 92-93 GSR

and far from cost-effective for a younger person entering into this area of imports. i'm not trying to push anyone away from purchasing a G2 GSR, but like previously mentioned they were quite rare, and finding one that has been taken care of, while it may be relatively easy (as they were nice cars and 95% of the time were taken very good care of), it won't be cheap by any means. I had an opportunity to get either my 92 LS with 62k miles on it (female teacher was previous owner, just drove it to work 2 miles one way each day, didn't drive much during summer) or a 93 GSR with 115k on it. The GSR had more miles, and was in less desirable condition than the LS, and was nearly $1000 more. I went, naturally, with the LS. Insurance was a booya cheaper too. A big booya cheaper. Just another thing for someone younger to be thinking about, because the younger you are, the more insurance companies can justify charging you (less driving experience, more of a risk to be driving--they have stats to back it up too).

Yeah, you'll be happy with an LS. Not counting G2 meets, I've seen two or three G2 GSR's in the last eight months. Two or three. And I live in CA, have been in LA and the Bay Area many times. Counting G2 meets, I've seen like five. There are so rare it's insane.

i see one everyday in my garage hehe anyways yeah if u can find a g2 gsr that is in good condition i'd get it...
I'm not a big fan of frankenstien motors so i'd rather suggest getting a b18c with a xsi/g2 gsr tranny than a lsvtec with the stock ls tranny..... good luck

I am feeling what G2 said. Not to say that there aren't LS/VTEC's out there that are running good, but your goal is to build a daily driver. You might want to swap in a different engine if you want to meet that goal. A well built LS/VTEC isn't going to save money ... you might want to research the swap some more.

Good luck with your future project.
