The other day I noticed my radiator was out of coolant, but couldn't really locate where the leak was coming from. Today as I let the R warm up and noticed a puddle of coolant under the car. I opened the hood and noticed a little pool around intake manifold. When I squeezed the upper the rad hose, I heard/saw the coolant come out from the intake manifold gasket and saw 2 cracks in it.

I've had it laying around in my closet for quite sometime before installing it a week or so before Expo. Has anyone else had any problems with their ANR gasket?




















It ended up breaking causing my engine started to suck in the coolant which caused my car to slowly drown itself. I was able to get it home where I had to replace all 4 NGK platinum plugs and install a Hondata gasket.

I havent had problems with mine... yet

My only problem was that it didnt do a damn thing as far as IM temperatures go.

Did you possibly torque the nuts down a little to hard?

 

Now I'm pissed. Went to lunch, showed my buddy the cracks. On the way back to the office, the car stutters and the CEL starts blinking at me like a little strobe light from hell. I shut her off, turn her back on and the light keeps on blinking instead of just staying on. Managed to get her home to swap cars then noticed an actual piece of it is now missing

I've had this installed for 7 months and a little over 14,000 miles. I would think that if I over trqed it to begin with, it would have failed at the Expo or during the summer with 100+ degree weather. I know for a fact that I didn't over trq them because I was too damn scared of trying to extract a broken bolt if I did.
