Are these Ture Sizes o.k. for Stock Accord ??
I have a STOCK 1994 EX Accord Sedan and I have 195/65/15 on them now but they need to be replaced ASAP. I got a set of 205/50/15 from my Civic and was wondering if it will be o.k. to put them on the Accord.
These will be on Stock 15 X 5.5 rims.
What would be the negative effects of the tires ????

I think for that year Accord the stock tire size was 195/60/15 which is little more than 1/2" smaller in diameter than what your running now. If you switch to 205/50/15 tires, you'll be running almost 2" smaller in diameter from what you have now but only a little over an inch smaller than stock.
You should be fine. You may notice the speedo reading slightly slower than what your really going, or is it slightly faster. ah, I can't remember. It shouldn't much more than a couple mph.
On my hatch, I have 02 Si rims and tires on it for summer. The 02 Si tires are about 1" bigger in diameter than what comes stock. When I got the rims, they had good tires still on them so I decided to run them anyway. My speedo seems to be off maybe 1 mph.
Other than your speedo maybe reading slightly off, you should be ok.

Thats the closest your going to get to the stock size of 195/60/15 without going bigger in diameter. Size 205/60/15 is about the same difference as the 205/55/15 but they are bigger instead of smaller, and most people prefer to go smaller. I had 205/55/15 Kumho 712's on my Prelude Si rims.

Generally, yes. But since the sidewall stiffness of tires is different from brand to brand and model to model, the ride difference is really unknown.
If your current tires are stiff and the Civic ones are more spungy, you may end up with little difference. If both tires are similar in stiffness or if the Civic tire is stiffer, then your probably going to end up with a harder ride.
What tires do you have now and what tires do you plan to switch to?

I have a some kind of Tourant Brand or something ( I bought the car with these tires)
The one I'm planning to put on are 205/50/15 Falken Ziex, I think they're kinda of spongy.
Also the wheel gap will more, right ?
I just don't want to look funny with small tires and a large wheel gap.

Isn't there a 502 and a 512 in the Ziex line? Which one of these do you have?
Either way, the Ziex tire line is all-season so I'm assuming they are pretty similar.
What are the tires that are currently on your Accord?
If they are all-season tires as well and not some performance summer only tire, it's probably going to be somewhat close to the Ziex tires? If thats the case, then your probably going to see a slight increase in how hard the car rides. But since the tires your switching to aren't performance tires that are meant to take hard turn and such, I don't think the ride is going to be bad, espcially with the stock suspension of the Accord. You probably won't even notice much of a change unless you are driving over pot-hole infested roads like people here in Michigan encounter.

yes, your wheel gap will get bigger. Maybe say by an inch. Thats just a quess, but since you currently have tires that are 25" in diameter and you are switching to tires that are 23.1" in diameter, take the difference and divide it in two. .95" so lets just say 1". I'm guessing thats how much your wheel gap will increase, or atleast thats what it seems like.
The Falken Ziex are 512 series and the brand of the one that I have on the Accord are Continental Touring CH95.

From I can find from using Google, since I don't have any personal experience with Continental tires and very limited with Falken Ziex, it looks like the Falken Ziex are better tires. I would have to guess that the Falken Ziex tires would be a stiffer ride than the Continental Touring CH95 tires even in similar sizes. So with the added factor of a smaller sidewall to go with all that, I would have to think the ride is going to be a little rougher. But, like I said, this is all speculation on my part. I may be totally wrong. Unless someone on here that has experienced both tires, I dought you'll get a concrete answer about ride. You'll just have to wait and see how it turns out.
So your possible downsides are larger wheel gap, possibly harder ride and speedo being slightly off. But the upside would be you wouldn't have to buy new tires right now.

Thanks for all the replies...
Now the only thing comes to mind is that does the car look funny with the larger wheel gap ?????
I don't want it to look like a LOW-Rider car

haha, well, I guess that would all be personal opinion. I don't need my tires to be tucked, as long as it doesn't have a wheel gap like my hatch that was stolen did. It had like a 6" gap, maybe not that much but it was a lot. Some people say Accord's have to much wheel gap with Pro-Kit springs but I like the way it looks. So some wheel gap doesn't bother me.
The only thing that matters if it bothers you or not. If it doesn't, then don't worry what other think.
If it bothers you, then I guess you'll be buying some new tires in the right size.

I don't care what others think it just matters what I think.
I have a set of Falken Ziex on my Civic with Si Rims but I'm going to buy some Azenis or Hancook tires and I don't want to buy New Tires for my Accord because it's just a daily beater.
So the Accord will get the Ziex and the Civic will get Azenis.
Dec. 16 is around the corner and I'm going to the Street of Willow, just don't want to be there with shitty tires.

I have 205/55/15 on my 94 ex rims. They ride great, the handling is much inproved over stock. Mines not lowered yet, so the difference was night and day. I had a 94 LX though, and switched to ex rims. I went from 185/70/14 to 205/55/15. I had concerns also and all the tire places said not to do it, but I went ahead anyway and I'm so glad I did. The ride is a bit harsher, but you get used to it quickly, and soon you won't notice a difference. The width is the only thing. 205's will bulge abit, mine do, but I personally like the look. It gives it a subtle, more aggressive appearance. I'm running BFG potenza's, and it's all good. 205/50's should be even better, although the lower profile could give you a bigger fender gap. You'll be happy with it though, the performance gains alone are well worth it.
I don't know why a shop would tell you not to. The tires are only .4" different in diameter and almost an inch different in width. But with the wider EX rims the wider tires wasn't going to matter. And with only a difference of .4" in daimeter, I deffinately wouldn't have worried about it.
