Default Repairing Fried ECU?

yesterday i took my crx out for a drive and i came back, popped the hood and moved the map sensor, it somehow arched to the power wire coming through the firewall.

The car cut off, ECU not blinking at all and fuel pump doesnt cut on.

If i fried my ECU could i take it to an electrical switch board repair and possibly have it fixed?

n 88-89 ecu is cheaper than a 90-91. Roughly $50 gets you a replacement.

i wont say your wrong but take a multi meter to the fuses. they can decieve you. i cant see why having a 91 ecu in an 88 hf would be a problem. but not 100% sure anyone else?

I ran an 89 SI ecu on a 95 CX engine, and it ran REALLY rich, but it worked, so yea it doesnt matter. It's all fairly interchangeable.

as long as it is the same OBD i believe D series is interchangable with any D series and B series with any B series.

thanks guys.. checked out circuit board inside ecu, nothings looks fried to the naked eye. must be internal or in a chip.

I would borrow an ECU from a friend to see if it is the problem. If the car starts up it is the ECU.

BTW, you can get ecus cheap on ebay. usually like $30+shipping.
