So I spent $800 and they fucked my car up...
Day1) So I spent $800 dollars on Timing Belt replacement and brakes. AND WHAT DO I GET? My car runs like ****
My car hits fuel cut at 6.5k now, and DOSE NOT PULL like it used to. NO POWER. VTEC doesnt feel nearly the same AT ALL.
Then I spoke with the machenic and he started telling me that maybe honda played with the timing marks to make more power when they serviced my car last time and the fuel cut at 6.5 is normal... I told him that is incorect and he said fine and that he will speak with Honda tomorrow morning. But my god I am so stressed out.
Day2) OK he called me and he said "Your engine is sopose to cut out at 6.5 plus itll last longer that way" I recommend not playing with that and not making it go higher because if you do I will not warranty it. WHAT THE **** THATS BULL **** MY CAR REVS HIGHER then that.... wtf is he talking about. He also said he spoke to Honda machenic... wtf are they all noobs there? Ruined my morning completely. Now ima go pick my piece of **** car up... I spent 800 dollars on it and it only runs worse.
Guys any ideas
!!!

if its only revving to 6.5k are you even hitting vtec. when my car isnt warmed up vtec wont engage and it only revs to 6.5k in stead of 7.5 or what ever.
is your check engine light on.
honda did not mess with the cam timing unless you have adjustable cam gears. and they should have put ignition timing back to stock.
and why isnt your mechanic doing your work. if your mechanic is having honda do your work just go to honda. or find a new mechanic.
and 800 is money you should have spent other places. you should have done this yourself.

Yeah really. I would have done everything myself. Even if you've never done it before - you could most definately figure it out.
But yeah, he's talking too much ****. I wouldn't let that ride if i were you. I'd have to take him out.
Doesn't the ecu always change timing back to normal....even if you mess with the dizzy?
Did you try resetting the computer? Pull the radio/clock fuse for about a minute.

x2, just because its running better does not mean its right. Line up the crank to tdc and take off the valve cover to make sure both cam gears are lined up correctly. Your mechanic sounds like he has no idea what he's doing. never take your car to him again.

If the balancer belt is not timed right it will make engine vibration worse (instead of better, like it's supposed to). Sounds like those guys had no idea what they were doing. I'd go and try to get some money back (but don't let them near your car).

based on what the 'mechanic' has already said, it is very likely that he messed this up.

I didn't want to dwell on that point but I did find it kind of funny that you spelled mechanic wrong several times... and you are a mechanic. Regardless it sound like balancer shafts to me and you shoud definately get some money back, lie to him and say you had to pay another mechanic to fix it and provide a fake bill. He'll have to pay out then. Sorry to hear about your encounter

Why does every decent thread always end in a flamming session because some **** want to talk ****? Get over it. Personally, I still take my car to the shop for things like simple oil changes.........thats just my preference.

Your vibration sounds like it's your balance shaft. When you do a timing belt change, you must line up the shaft there is a hole that a bic pen fits in perfectly to line it up. Don't ask me how I know this. If your "mechanic" thinks that an H22 should rev to 6500 rpm, then Im almost sure he doesn't know about the balance shaft.
