Custom Cross Drilled Rotors
Okay this may seem like a stupid question to some people but it is worth a shot. Can you take brand new rotors, oem style and use a drill press and drill holes to create cross drilled rotors. If you can, would they work just as good as the ones you can buy but fraction of the cost?
I wouldnt do it. Considering the intense heat distubution across the surface of the rotor, if you compromise the strength of the rotor by drilling holes in it, you are asking for a cracked rotor. Just buy some brembo blanks from ebay or something, crossdrilling is over-rated for regular street driving anyway.
I have some Brembo blanks that were drilled and slotted, then zinc coated by a company on here called stop check I believe, they were pretty cheap. I had some cheap *** pads on there and the brake fade was terrible. I almost wrecked once because of it. I switched them out for hawk pads and I love it. I believe that the drilled and slotted rotors are pretty much equal to the blank ones, and good pads are key.
Did some digging to find a link

They really look good with my gsr blades, and theyre probably not much more expensive than oem.
