depends how good or bad the roads are where you live. if the roads suck id get something softer, expecially since you dont auto-x. if the roads are fine you wouldnt have a problem.

Tein Flex is EXTREMELY comfortable on the street. I have 17" wheels and the ride is comfortable as can be.

BTW, I have my set available for sale.

they're extremely liveable. i'd say just barely noticably stiffer than stock.

course, compared to my suspension even gokarts feel soft.

I have them on mine. definately rougher than stuck adn mine are set pretty low. But also very liveable. I live in cali so the roads suck, might not be as bad where you live.

i guess yoru interpetation of EXTREMELY is a little more idealistic than mine. its not like i enjoy driving on mine on LA freeways. its no where near comfortably for me. then again i do drive 100 miles a day and im a little bitter....

Anything is softer than the RA's, you can even feel, running over a dead bug on the road heh

tein flex= awesome
sometimes a little annoying, but I added the E.D.F.C. which helps in most cases to ease the ride

I wanted to lower my car and put a good product on it. I just put it on and I think its perfect. its stiff but still pretty comfortable. To me its a good fit. I wanted to spend something around a grand and I paid just a little over that. at that price I could have gone with Tanabes or apexis. I was never thinking abouting getting the RA's or Zeils because I just drive my car on the street.

I don't have an ITR, but I do have the Flex. I swapped out the rear springs with 336s and I think it's very streetable. I have mine set up the way I like it for autocross too, 10F 12R with 22mm rear sway. I drive it everyday like this 80miles to & from work.

The suspension is obviously stiffer than stock, but it takes bumps differently... it's "solid?" I dont' know how to explain it.

not nearly as stiff as the RE's that i have..... oh yeah i have edfc too.... MUAHAHAHAHA. all tein setups so far = trumped

sorry, it just seemed like there was a lot of setup droping going on so i thought i would join in....

Flex should be fine for the street. It isn't going to ride like stock though... so i guess just get over that whole thing

Tein Flexs are made for the street... It isn't too still unless you really have bumpy roads, you should be fine

exactly. Flex's aren't very good for track application, that's where RE's or RA's come in.

I have a set for sale because i tried using for the track and they are too soft for that. It is an excellent ride on the street. I wish i could keep them for when i drive the car on the street but I need something that will work for both. If you want some pics let me know. they have roughly 5000 miles on them.

Thanks but I bought a set that a local shop had in stock. I would have bought some used but had the cash and it was there.

Honestly, if you find a nice road, they are awesome, around town they are horrible. We don't have too many smooth roads, so a soft spring rate would have probably handled a lot better on the street, being more compliant

The Flex spring rates create way too much understeer- I miss my stock suspension for this reason alone. Overall the car does handle better, but with an added understeer that kind of ruins the Type-R feel. Personally they are a bit stiff for my liking on the shitty roads around here also.

I'm going to sell my set if anyone is interested. About 9-10K miles on them.

I'd like to just use different spring rates but Tein already warned me that you have to get the coilover re-valved if you want to go softer. They also said it would cost about as much as a new set of coilovers to do that.... so hopefully they'll make the roads nice around here otherwise I'm just gonna deal with it.
