you can just run it either too the wire at the ecu or by the cluster itself, just splice it in. if you didnt already know its the yellow/red wire

if i dont run the wire to the ecu then the check engine light comes on,so it is cool to just run it straight to the ecu and cut the wire from the ecu off and put the one for the vss in there

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by yellowjdmcrx &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">if i dont run the wire to the ecu then the check engine light comes on,so it is cool to just run it straight to the ecu and cut the wire from the ecu off and put the one for the vss in there</TD></TR></TABLE>

are you trying to run a sir cluster or what?

im not sure if i get what your saying, both your ecu and cluster need the signal. the cluster needs it for obvious reasons (to tell you the speed). when you run it to the ecu it will get rid of the check engine light.

what i was saying is that the stock yellow/red wire runs from the ecu to the cluster so if you just run a wire from the VSS and splice it into that wire it will send a signal to both the ecu and cluster (assuming you have the cluster wired up correctly.

I have a gsr cluster in my 89 crx si and have a similar problem. I got the cluster to work great, but, the yellow/red wire is in pin b18 on my ecu and I'm scared to hook it up....
