Civic dx zc swap wiring help PLz look Not regular SEARCHED
Hey,
I have an interesting problem. I have a jdm zc motor and it was put in a 1989 civic dx. Now normally I would follow the dpfi to mpfi guide but I have another problem. The motor already came from a swapped car. It came from a crx hf. Looking at the wires they don't match up to what all the faqs. Can anyone tell me what I have to do to get this going.
Thanks, Adam

does the engine have a harness on it already? if so, dont use it, you should use the harness for the car, a hf harness will not work on a dx chassis, so you will still need to switch over to mpfi, i guess i really didnt understand your question very well but i hope this helps let me know if you are having problems
Hey,
Got everything wired up and the engine turns over, its pretty hard to turn it over takes 2-3 seconds of cranking but then it idles great. However, now the problem is any amount of throttle over 1000rpms and it backfires. It won't go over 1000-1500 rpms even if I hold it at full throttle. I have the pm8 ecu and it is blinking 10 times indicating TA sensor according to my helms manual. I don't see how that would effect the condition I'm having though. No cel codes. Please someone help I'm so close to being done.

Distributor timing?
Keep checking those codes.. should be more with that kinda condition.
You do have the external CPS connected correctly? Really no distributor codes?
