Was at sckool today and decided to get sum gas...opened the gas cap and found that sum ******** poured sugar down my gas tank.... good news was insurance is covering it. hopefully it didnt damage it to much, i drove 1/2 mile until i found out what had happened and didnt notice any performance loss. any of you guys know the affects of sugar in gas? im assuming clogged fuel filter and possibly injectors..... I hope i find out who did it cuz ima kill them.

 

isnt the gas tank thingie locked? someone pryed it open? or was it one of ur friends who thought it'd be funny?!

 

sounds like its gonna cost a lot to fix ..

how did they open it anyways ?

your engine should be fine.. nothing should have passed though your fuel filter... so all they'll need to do is take the fuel out change the filter and you're set to go....

 

Yes, because contrary to popular beliefs, sugar does not dissolve in gasoline. Much.

whoever did it wasn't just carrying sugar around, they did it as a prank

Owning an S2000 pretty much had me looking at it whenever i would go up to it regardless of where i was...i also didnt have a car like this in school, i dont think anyone should, for this and several other reasons. I never inspected every inch, but i also saw the entire drivers side of the car when getting in because for one, the car isnt big at all, and two, the gas lid is right there on the drivers side, and if its pryed open, it would be fairly obvious.

...story just seems fishy, and missing some info. And you seem quite sure about the "prank" thing, thats a little obsessive for a prank...but whatever, high schoolers (or those with maturity levels of high schoolers) are idiots, always have been, always will be.

actually i dont know how these ppl got to my gas tank it wasnt pryed open...the only thing i can think of is that i must have forgot to arm my alarm...i was in a hurry... the gas tank lid was closed and my gas cap was still on when i went to get gas, but thats when i noticed all the sugar in my filler neck...anyways im in college not high school so i must have enemies or it was a act of random which i doubt cuz who would carry a bag of sugar with them but u never know i guess....but honda is taking care of everything....and my car in goin in the garage for the winter....back to my beater accord
