ok where do i start i bought this car with a GSR in it and it needed some work......once everything was done all i had to do was the timing and thats when things got weird..........i had a pep boys timing belt on the car and did everything right, when i went to go put the distributor in the middle where it should be it ran like ****...and i checked the timing and it was saying it was off a litle over a tooth but when i advanced the timing all the way it ran smoother........so i got a honda timing belt and did everything the same and still the same problem it ran like ****. next step was to change my ECU(civic type R) to a OBD-1 p-72 put the distributor back to the middle and still running like ****, i changed the wires and the plugs and still the same problem????????????????????????? has anybody had this problem???

yeah when i put it to the middle of the distributor housing the white dash goes way farther away from the timing mark on the crank and when i advance it all the way it gets closer but its still about a tooth away from the mark on the plastic casing
