im going to b useing Ground Control coilovers with custum rates of 380F/380R
also if i get ground controls is there a gap from the top of the coilover spring and the shock top mount....this happened to my friend and created a horrible ride

I choose the Koni's and I have the OEM springs. I can't tell you from experience, because I'll never own the KYB's, but I did alot of searching, and it breaks down like this:
If you care get the Koni's
If you're short on monies then get the KYB's, or Tokico Illuminas.
If you're the suck don't lower the car, and run OEM replacements.
Thats my breakdown, there are others that will say the KYB's or the Illuminas are great.

i just threw on some koni yellows in the rear with my stock springs. i bought just the rears pretty cheap, and had illuminas all around before.
ride went totally downhill to major sucks. totally lost grip in the rear, yeah its oversteering (majorly), but overall grip went way down.
i suppose theres something to the effect of too much damping, or too much rebound damping at least and not enough compression damping as is the case with koni yellows.
granted, right now its adjusted about middle. im going to have to adjust it down much lower, but its a frickin major pain to adjust these konis i got because its the "internal" adjustment (really old yellows) and the whole shock needs to be disassembled to adjust. and the adjustment method alone is a real pain in the *** in itself (pushing and turning).
so ill be fair and take the time to remove the shocks and readjust before my final verdict. anyway, thought id comment this because the guy above just suggested using koni yellows with OEM springs. i say total waste of money for just OEM springs, or most aftermarket spring kits.
ive used illuminas with stock springs, and 450/900 race setup and everything in between on my crx, daily, autox and competitive road racing applications. theyve honestly worked great in everything for me.
