Default My power atenna is busted and it is making a noise..

So my power antenna stopped working or something cuz when i start up my 95 accord, it makes the noise like its supposed to be raising the antenna, but it doenst do anything, the antenna is already up, it doesnt go down.

Is there any way i can take the little motor out or something, its really annoying.

You can move the lining in the trunk and unplug the motor. Easy.

Well, if that's the case; pull the radio fuse and break off the antenna mast for the good it's doing you.

Easiest thing to do would be just remove the trunk lining and unplug the motor and just grab the mast and fully extend or push it in. At least it will get rid of the sound.

all u probably need is the antenna mast ,,it is the inner part , it has plastic teeth and they brake often, sometimes a piece will brake inside the motor ..the noise u hear is the motor trying to catch the teeth on the antenna ......
Remove the top nut at the fender, have someone turn radio on, pull on the antenna at the same time to remove inner mast,, at times a piece of antenna will brake inside the motor if so u wont be able to fully install the antenna till u remove the broken piece, to do so u need to remove the motor, remove the 2 philip screws that hold the cover, once off, pull out the round plastic piece, remove broken antenna....put all together, have a friend turn radio on, preparre to install inner mast, have them turn radio off , istall mast when radio is turned off. install fender lock nut at top ...............Or u can just buy a manual antenna from the dealer ,,pretty cheap..
