used K24 short block ??
Depending on which K24 block you want.
TSX K24a2 will be the highest 1500-2000 range.
CRV 900-1200 range
Accord, Element 500-800 range
Im giving a long block qoute since it will be hard to find anyone that will part out a K24 longblock.
Why not just go with the K24a2 Longblock!!!
The head is basically the same as a K20a2.

Honda sells them new for $450.. Cannot beat that HONDA OEM BOX
That is a bare block with no crank..
Depending on what you want, it would be better to get a used longblock and ditch the head.

thanks guys.. cuz my brother has a short block up forsale.. thats all.. and its a K24a from a TSX.. check the pics.. nothing wrong with it.. thats just carbon build-up on top of the pistons...

well, this block is going to need work.. I would sleeve it for sure...
$300 would be a good deal...
No point using the pistons or rods on the block.. So since these will come out, I would install a type s oil pump and get rid of the tsx oil pump. Also since there is no waterway and waterpump, I would install a k20a2 rsx type s water pump and waterway with the k20a2 oil cooler.
The only difference this tsx block has than the other blocks is that is has oil jets at the bottom of the block.

ummm... $300 is a good deal.. I think it would be a lowball deal... anyways, the k20a2 water pump, oil cooler, oil pump.. etc. are all the same.. only thing different is that the k24a2 is 22millimeter longer.. and I'd need to use a K24a2 timing chain, timing chain guide and timing chain cover to use with the K20a2 RSX type S cylinder head...
as for NA.. only thing to replace is the pistons.. since the rods are strong already.. for F/I.. there is no need to change anything.. it already has 10.5:1 compression..
thanks everyone for the comments..
btw.. this might be for sale.. complete k24a2 block and a complete k20a2 head as well...

I disagree
The tsx uses the same oil pump as the other k24a block with balance shafts.. Not as as good as the k20a2 oil pump we use on these motors.
The tsx doesn't have oil cooler so if the owner decided to use the oil cooler, he would need to install a k20a2 water pump and passage... That wouldbe a good idea since there is not water passage there now.
The rods are not strong.. They are stronger than the other weak rods but they are still weak and since this would be a fully built motor, I see no point using stock rods... The pistons look in bad shape so buying stock pistons with rings would equal the cost for custom pistons...
My opinion anyway, good luck with the sale.
