Will this dent in the header make a performance difference?
I'm thinking about buying this DC JDM header, but there is a dent in it. I'm just wondering if it will hinder performance or if it can be easily fixed.

the piping is actually quite thick so a dent like that wont decrease performance... only concern is if you bottom out again then the header may stretch further and eventually rip a hole in it.
I currently have eibach prokits on my car. What are the odds that I bottom out with this header on? Also, is the only other part I need a 2.5" cat? I have a 2.25 catback rsr exhaust right now and I want to bolt this guy on.
It will only create turbulance inside the header if the dent protrudes inside the piping. It is like sticking your hand out the window at 60 mph. The wind will have to go around your hand where it would have just gone straight through before.
You shouldn't have a problem with bottoming out if you only have prokits.

well i had the same header and the eibach pro kit... bottomed out a couple times and then it stopped cuz i had in a sense solved the clearance problems by denting the header. Air flow is still adequate and all. chances are the header won't cause you to bottom out much, and most likely it will end up like how mine did... all DC 4-1 headers are known for clearance problems, but after a few times bottoming out, it wasnt an issue anymore. Just take it easy over speed bumps and such and you'll be fine. If you need a cat, order up one... if you really could care less, cuz the exhaust is restricting flow anyways, then go to a muffler shop and pay them like $20 to make a custom flange to fit.
