it is required by federal law that airbags be replaced when they are deployed. You will not be able to drive the car legally without them.

If, when you speak of air bag, you're talking about your ride (and not your Mother-in-law) then it's even more complicated than you think. I believe federal rules governing air bag repairs require that the sensor pack be replaced on all deployements (of any magnitude) along with the air bags.
I realize that the prospects of investing more money in airbags than what you paid for the car doesn't appeal much, but you're in the unique position of knowing how useful they are when you need them.
You may be able to save some scratch by getting some salvaged/undeployed airbag capsules, but the sensors I wouldn't screw around with.
You're in a tough spot.

i never heard of that. my car was a theft recovery and i had a salvage title on the car. i put everything back together but did not want to buy air bags cause back in 95 it was like $600 for the set. so i put in dummy airbags on my car and it still pass the chp inspection.

Well, of course. If, when they look, the SRS lamp isn't on and the dash is intact; how are they to know?
But I don't think we want to start discussing the merits of operable airbags, do we? After all, it is YOUR life, isn't it?

My neighbor's cavalier was totaled by the insurance company because of the airbag replacement costs. It wasn't even much damage to the car. The airbag replacement was over $2,000. Try to find second hand airbags. Maybe they will cost much less.

I have the drivers side (without steering wheel) that I never used. It was taken out of a 95 accord. If your's is a 94-97 accord, this will fit your car. Drop me a PM.
