Default Should I retire the Accord...

This is a tough desicion for me. I have been building the Accord since 2000 and it is no secret how old this car is. I know people on the net either hate or love the familliar two tone blue and white CB7, but either way I would like some feedback on where I should head with it. Let me know what you think... good and bad, I am open minded. I also want to say thanks to the honda-tech members for being my second home over the last several years.

Because I have been posting in this section since '01 that is why. Thanks for your input.

Besides where else would I fit in better?

screw a civic put it in an insight

For Gods sake stick with it and enjoy the ride. The car doesn't owe you anything, it's given good service (and it's certainly one of the cleanest example out there.

i say you keep it. just repaint it a solid color and dump it! but other than that keep on with this car! i lthought putting back my accord to stock and just walking away from it to step up to a faster car was going to make me happy. but when i look at my accord sittin there w/ all this dust and dirt, it sucks!

i say keep it the way it is!

I voted stick with it. Youre not going to get the money you put into it back so might as well continue, or start a new seperate project.

What might be your reason for even possibly retiring the car?
Something must of led you to this.
Its your car. The car itself is a trophy in itself.

You have no car payments man. Might as well keep it. Every man needs multiple vehicles - in case **** happens. Save it for your kids or something.........especially if you're not going to get what you put in it.

I would say keep it. You have already built it and are already pretty invested in it. Who cares if people do not like the paint job. What matters is if you like it.

I say finish building it see what it does and then if your are truely unhappy then get a different car. I personally would not get a civic. But that is me.

I love 4th gen Accords. You have put a lot of work into it to make it what it is today. I like the color scheme and the wheels. Besides, who cares how old it is. You've replaced all the major parts on it anyway.

IMO, it's all about old school. It's nice to see a car (Accord and Preludes for that matter) that are generally riced out and have no go. It commmands more respect when you have a fast Prelude or Accord IMO. And yours asthetically is tastefully done.

Keep going with the Accord!

I appreciate all of the input. I am very suprised at the tally so far, I expected maybe a little less support for the project since the Accord is aging. So everybody knows, This is not based on any particular reason other than the age of the vehicle.

Scott, as you know I am probably the biggest hater you have, but its your arrogance that has brought that on. However if you retire this rediculous looking car I will have nobody to harrass on h-t. Seriously though as much of a pitiful waste of money that thing is, you have done wonders with it. who would think an accord could do what you have done at the track. too bad you didn't start with a corvette, you probably would be running nines or faster with the same effort. my opinion is that you should keep the car and continue wasting your money on it, but get over yourself.
