Default black housing taillights?

does anybody know where i can find some carbon fiber taillights or taillights with black housing for my 99 civic si coupe? any help is appreciated

most of the ones, well actually about all of them, that i have found on ebay are the stupid altezza look or whatever... any idea where i can get stock taillights with black housing, or atleast the stock look?

yeah use window tint, or black paint.

i thought you were wanting altezza looking carbon lights, but now i that i know your not im a happier person.


are you talking about smoked lights? or what, make a MSpaint picture for me lol

haha, i thought thats maybe why i wasnt getting much feedback so i figured id make it clear. smoked is a really good way of putting it, i'll try making an MS paint pic and post it later

ok, i found out its a little hard to edit a pic to make it look like i want to. but i guess im just going to paint it transparent black.. (?)

I really like that look and agree with blkSi on the red part being smoked a little also. Where could i find some like that or how would i do them my self.

they make a tint specifically for cars thats do-it-urself imo. whats good about the idea, even tho i haven't tried it yet, is that it is removeable and wont cost u the price of buying a tail light kit ( wooot!)?

thx for the inputs/advice and links, i never thought of window tint... but do you think it would hold just as well on plastic than it does with glass?

Exactly, as long as it's installed correctly. I don't see why you should have any problem with it.

I used tint spray for mine, and that worked well too.

so, is this something i'd have to take it to a shop for or can i put the tint on myself... (i know id be able to do it with spray, obviously)

by the way, how much is tint spray... can i just get that at a local auto store?

I can't exactly remember where I got mine from, well it was actually from http://www.summitracing.com but they no longer carry it. I did some searching, and I found this. Hope it helps!
