I did a couple of WOT runs in my car earlier and I heard a grind in first on my first WOT run. I started worrying and after about 10 WOT runs I was sure that I might have let off the clutch early or I did not get the shift in right. So when I get home I need to back up to get in my garage and my whole car shakes and it grinds in reverse. But here's the thing it only grinds when I put the clutch in and go straight to reverse but If I move the shifter to first and engage into reverse it does a bad grind. It sounds weird but Im tripping out. I also installed my axles like a week ago and did not change the tranny fluid. I have a b16a2 w/stock tranny btw if that helps.

 

when you put it in reverse is the car in a complete stop?

Bad idea,man. Maybe alittle too much tranny fluid leaked out when you chnged the axles. Try using some GM Synchromesh. Also Si trannies are weak to begin with

I remember in my GSR my reverse started going out, i didnt mind it.. But then i slammed it into reverse really hard one time and my gears went out.. 1st/2nd and 5th..

i was driving in 4th gear on the freeway from North county to san ysidro.. ******* sucked.. then i had to pay like $ 1k for another 99 gsr tranny with installation and clutch and Blah..

get it fixed or bang the expletive out of the tranny and get another one!
