Default Is it time for a new clutch??

Hey, can you tell me if my clutch is goin?? When i disengage the clutch in first gear i hear kind of like a grinding noise of metals. not like im grinding the gears but it just sounds like a faint grind. it happens when i lift off the clutch past the pressure point. it's like a scratching sound, but goes away everytime the clutch is disengaged,Thats the best i can explain it. Could it be the throw out bearing. If it is one of the these things is it worth it just to get a whole new clutch since there gunna have to install one part, u know they might as well do all..Someone told me it could just be the spring on the clutch plate if it is, is there anyway to fix the springs on the disc plate or am i going to need a new clutch?? If this is my clutch is the excedy clutch a good clutch and how much is intallation aprox.. just ballpark.. thanks alot

If it happens when the clutch is partially depressed, it's the throw out bearing...if the clutch is fully depressed it's the pilot bearing
