uve got to tell us more detail story...btw the head and the block are all repairable depending on how bad the damage was...considering the sleeve is all cracked and the head has a hole due to dropping the valve, then im not sure if thats something a machine shop can do...

i think so too he got a chip vtec at like 7k and 10500 rev limit and he was confident a stock R would handel it. So is this what happens when you drop a valve.? Piston 3 sparkplug was busted to **** like if the piston smaked it.

he dropped or broke a valve IMO

this is what the head will look like:

it should be repairble, pull the head and let us kow if the block survived.

DONF can fix the head, he fixxed mine!

Wow that sucks, but 10500 on a stock ITR motor, there'a reason why you use the honda redline/cutoff on stock blocks. Although I'm sure everybody knows someone who daily drives there ITR swapped car with a 12000 rev limit

If he has that kind of money to flush down the tubes for the sake of being "cool" then he can direct deposit his paycheck into my account. I will think he's cool.

If he wants to rev to be cool tell him to get the new 2006 Yamaha R6. It will go to 17,500 rpm off the showroom floor all day long.

Yeah, you'll need it! I bet he's feeling really cool now huh. Tell him if he gets rod bolts, he can rev to 11,500rpm and deliver tofu faster than ever.

Umm with those cams and that head why on EARTH did he have vtec Xover at 7k? Plus the fact that revving past 8800 wasn't doing anything except making noise.....and destroying his motor.

Sounds like stupidity owned him......

Not to mention paying 5 thousand dollars for a STOCK ITR swap.

If your buddy smashed a plug to bits, then I am almost positive he has a hole in at least one piston.....personally I'd get the bottom end dyed before even attempting to rebuild it.

Honestly I have NEVER heard of a crossover that high. NEVER NEVER NEVER.

I bet his power from 6-7k was crap and then he just tapered off above 8500 anyway. What an idiot.
