Default B18C1 Questions

Ive have had an engine short block sitting in my back yard for quite some time. Today I decided to check it out, and it turns out its a B18C1. I know how much power these push out stock so Im going to build it and possibly put it in a civic. Anyone have suggestons on what I should do. I was either thinking a high compression piston set and make it all motor. Or lower the compression and slap a turbo on. Feel free to post your suggestions.

sleeve it and send it to me!

How much power do you want and what body style is it going into?

It might be kinda fun to beat your friends' turbo talons w/an all motor honda...

yes it would. its proboobly gonna be dropped into a 92 civic hatch, or crx. Ive been thinking of it and im most likely gonna go high compression all motor. Ill save the turbo work for the DSM's. Im kinda new to the honda all-motor scene. So if i used a stock head what would be safe to use, compression wise. Will I need to replace the cams? Ive seen pistons up to 12.5:1, I was thinking that would take head work, so how about, say, 11:1? Thanks for the help

im goin all motor with my b18c1 basically because of the lack of funds.

turbo would have been nice, but the whole rebuild of the engine has built up enough receipts on my desk. plus turbo is too much of a headache. i wanted something i can drive around town and have it be more reliable.

If I dropped it in a CRX, what else would have to be done besides motor mount kit? Transmission? And also, whats this OBD0 business Im hearing about. Told you I know nothing about Hondas! LOL

Everybody is gonna tell you to use the "search" feature in the top right corner of the web page. it's like the oracle. the answer is out there. it's up to you to find it, and uhh...do what u want with it!

i think the biggest headache you're gonna run into when swapping motors is the wiring harness & ecu.

trust me just search. you'll find plenty of info because every type of swap into every type of chassis has probably be done on here.
