Default Engine Question. 94LS

I have "94-Acura Integra LS". (b18b1) The car was given to me as a gift by a friend. He told me that the engine was installed, had about 20,000 miles. So far, ever since i got it i did 1,400 miles. I was wondering... I know i could put V-tec. I know would have to change the head. (LS/Vtec).

My question is which head would u perfer? The GSR head or the Type R head (Can the Type R fit?) and how $much$ would it be for a Complete GSR & Type R head? Is their a slight difference in which Head lasts the longest? Which preforms better? And what are the parts for a complete head?

Sry i'm asking alot of questions, just want to know form a person who has alot more "experience" than me thats all.

True, I could buy an new engine, but i just want to take in consideration that I have low milage engine for a "94LS"

Default Re: Engine Question. 94LS (JasoTai)

im new here but Ill say it first,

Use the search feature. people will get mad otherwise

You might as well just keep the b18b and turbo it so it will be faster than a whole b18c5 (typeR motor) or buy a complete b18C swap (GSR motor)
you can build an LS turbo thats QUICK for less than 2K and a b18C swap runs around 3-4K

If your going to do a Vtec conversion I think the Civic SI head is the most cost effective.

but what do I know?
