when i start my car up this whinning noise comes on, but goes away as soon as i come to a stop, seems to quiet down as soon as i touch the brakes, but never comes back after that, any ideas? i don't think its anything to worry about, i hope, just a little curious what it might be

 

Are you sure its not one of your belts?

 

no its coming from the right side, i'm almost certain its inside the car,

 

and it only happens once in a while, usually when the engine is cold,

lol, well i am running rich but no cel's, i'm sure its prolly something stupid, like a big *** bug or something stuck under there, maybe just the air system

bump, also the noise quiets down as soon as i apply any pressure to the brakes, and goes away when i come to a complete stop, anyone got any ideas?

vacuum leak ?? check your lines, the sound might just be traveling thru your vent system but it is brobly in the engine compartment!

the sound is only there for like 5 minutes, seems to be affected by the brakes cause whenever i step on the pedal it quiets down, and goes away afterwards, seems to only happen when engine is cold

 

and the sound isn't like air escaping, more like an electric motor vibrating sound, i'm gonna hve my battery tested, cause sometimes it takes a few turns to start the car, maybe there is something under there trying to draw some power but the battery is to weak,
