retrofitting SH tranny to work in base car
This might be a stretch, but, assuming the internals of the SH tranny are the same as the base (non atts) tranny; is it possible to simply swap housings with guts of the sh tranny into the case of a base tranny? SH trannies appear to be cheap but no one wants them due the atts system. I know it's a reach but I thought I'd ask. thanks

it shouldnt be a problem the only difference is the size of the housing.....I hade one at the shop but due to it closing the only things i have left is the complete gear with final drive/lsd for the sh prelude housing....
The gear sets, synchos, shift forks, selector rings, input shaft counter shaft, and reverse idler gear are the only thing interchangeable.
The casings, differential, and bearings are completely different

ok, so, if I bought a new case, with new bearings I should be able to use SH internals? Im new to cross breeding hondas here.....
