Escalated Idle? Why?

OK... I'm going to make this post clear so it's easier to understand my case.
Scenario:
- 00 Civic EX Coupe 5spd (d16y8) 33,500 miles
Mods: B&M Fuel Pressure Regulator
Injen Intake
Bosch platinum plugs
Ran a Zex 55 shot from Sept '01- Nov '01
Problem: When I start up my car it does a cold idle at around 1.5k-2k rpm for a couple minutes until it gets warmed up. I drive it around it's fine. Sometimes it tends to idle a little low though (maybe like 500rpm). Recently, however, SOMETIMES but not always if I drive it hard for a while, then start cruising to a stop with my foot on the clutch or in neutral my idle jumps up to 2000 rpm and stays there until I come to a COMPLETE stop... and ONLY a complete stop... if i keep rolling off momentum it will stay idling at 2000 rpm. Once I stop the rpm either drops back to normal (500-1000rpm) or sometimes it DRRRRROPS to like 0rpm... literally... where the car almost stalls out on its own. I've been trying to figure out what the hell it could be but I have no clue. I've tried toying with the fuel pressure to see if maybe it was too high or something but that doesn't help. That's the only thing I've physically tried to solve the problem. I took my car to the dealership for its 30k mile servicing hoping maybe the dealership would have picked up on it (the idle problem started prior to the servicing) but the problem still persisted. But knowing the dealership... they probably didn't do **** but change the oil because they left my coolant resorvoir DRY
. Anyone have an idea what the problem could be? I've heard talk about the IAVC but I really haven't checked that out as yet cause the car has only 33500 miles on it... I doubt it'd just start messing up now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Marc

One factor I was also thinking of is the TPS. I had to tap the TPS for the Zex kit when I had it but everything worked fine while it was tapped and even months after I sold the kit.
Some things to try:
Timing at STOCK setting.
New STOCK plugs - unless the Platinums are the stock plug, but I didn't think they were.
Fuel pressure at the STOCK setting.
And an ECU reset (disconnect neg battery cable, wait a few minutes, start car without touching the gas, let car idle till cooling fan comes on once, shut off car, then go ahead and re-start car and drive around).
The theme of my suggestions are to get you back to a STOCK setting...catch me.
A Helms wouldn't hurt either.
