Default OBD2B vs OBD2A cel's

im probably going to get flamed hardcore, but I need other people's input.

Im running a 98 B18C(R) in my 99EM1. To get my car running correctly, I use a obd2B to obd2A harness then my p73 ECU. But when, that ECU is in, I always get the knock sensor cel (23).

Now, when I put my P2T obd2B ECU in, I get the usual 54 and 22 cel's because my obd2a motor lacks those sensors. But what I dont understand is, why doesn't the knock sensor cel go off anymore? Are knock sensors specific to only certain obd's? Did I buy a faulty ECU?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

The reason knock sensor is throwing for the OBD2a is because the location is different. Check using a digital multimeter. It might be the jumper harness.

KS for OBD2b is C3
KS for OBD2a is D6

good luck.
