Default Engine Swap Question

Alright, Ive got a 96 Accord Coupe and I want some more low end torque. I also want a standard tranny like Ive got now. Can I drop a 2005 - 2006 V6 6sp in my 96? If so does anyone know ballpark price? Or does anyone have suggestions how to get more ***** out of the F22b?

easiest thing you could do is swap in an H22. But if you want you can boost your f22b. I've seen people do the V6 swaps before, not really sure if its worth it or not though.

I don't believe your engine bay is large enough to fit a J-series motor. Even if it was, the amount of customization required would be enormous, not to mention that everything in the bay would have to relocated.

For the price, it would be much cheaper (and more powerful) to boost your f22. You'd probably have plenty of money left over to build the motor while you're at it.

V6 swap into an Accord that originally had a 4-banger? That I've never seen... Swapping a V6 for a more powerful V6, now THAT, I HAVE seen.

6th gen bays are the same. 7th gen should be too. the differences lie in the locations and routing of ALL accesories. subframe is possibly different.

I want to see these pictures. Doubtful since it's NOT BEEN DONE!!! Hasport just, and I emphisize JUST, came out with mounts for the K into a 5th gen. Besides, 5k on a motor that puts down as much as an H22 which you can buy for 2k..... come on.

I also thought that when it comes to the 5th gens, the V6 model is actually a little longer.

Actually, it was done... It was a white 5th gen, with a K-series. I don't remember the details, but I saw the pics. There was a link for it in some thread here on H-T.
