Upper radiator hose install.........WOW...no room to work
I'm ATTEmpting top replace my upper and lower radiator hoses with Samco pieces. But wow, that top hose, is a real pita. Any suggestions in removing the rear part of the hose by the manifold?
I replaced my set when the motor was dropped. Let me look it up in the manual.
10 minutes later: Tried to visualize what your obstacles are with my motor out of the engine bay.

The hose at YELLOW should come off to give some clearance, and the brake booster hose right next to it, on the otherside of that engine lift point(bolt). If you have a bunch of harnesses in the way, they are all mounted on the Intake Manifold Bracket, held on by the bolts at RED. The locking radiator hose clip at PURPLE needs to be locked in the open position, then slide them off.
I had no need for the OEM hoses, so I sliced them to make removal easier. A flat blade around the edges works wonders. Good luck.
You can also work from under, but the starter kinda gets in the way, plus there's a chance coolant will drip on you, if that means anything.

put it on a carlift, I did it from below, works ok, not much room though, especially when the clip points the wrong way.....shitty job......never hope to change them again..
Car is ona lift as we speak. Real PITA to say the least. And to add to my BS, I got the Spoom rear lower tie bar and it fits, but there are no holes on the bar for this bracket that seems to be holding up some type of box towards the rear left(drivers side) of the car. If you've replaced your lower tie bar you'll know what i'm saying.
Starting to hate this car.......i'm gonna be living in a cardboard box soon.

Hahhaha. That box is the charcoal canister for the emissions system. I haven't seen the Spoon one, but the JIC Magic one has holes for that little black metal plate. TAP TAP AWAY!!!
Only four 14mm bolts for the Spoom piece......no additional 10mm holes for the bracket.
Nothing comes easy with this car huh?

Why do these things happen to me? I'm probablly just a tool who needs to sell the S and get a Ford Aspire. I have bad luck with cars.

Have a little bit of faith man. Spoon doesn't think of emissions. No, nothin comes easy, but it's a lot more satisfying when it's done.
Hoses are on and the front Spoon X brace is on but I guess I gotta get a different rear lower tie bar. I'll post pics later.
Needlesss to say, this forum can get kinda crazy in here. But, when there is actually a tech question involved, i've gotten nothing but help from you guys. Even at 2 in the morning when i'm trying to adjust my headlights.
Cause I know sometimes I just post some stpid ****. Thanks for all your help guys.

The difference is knowing when to be crazy retarded, and when to be helpful. I was up reading into the manual actually, having a smoke and a nightcap. Yes, I'm a loser.
