Default NRG quick release hub question

I just got my NRG quick release hub today and when I installed it on my hub I already had, the wheel sticks out A LOT..... What I think I need is a thinner hub to go w/ the Quick release... Is that right or is there something I should or could do? TIA

shane

I would contact the company you purchased it from or the vendor.

I bought it strait from NRG... But the thing is, that now it's like double the length.. (Hub plus quick release) Is there any companies that make/sell thinner hubs.. My hub right now is about 4" long + or - a half inch....

Yeah it does stick out a bit. I have the MOMO hub on mine and then I put the NRG quick release on saw a big difference. I like it though not that big of a deal

I looked on ebay but I didn't see anything that said how deep it is or if it's thin or not...

Exactly. It's normal for them to stick out farther than stock. Is the wheel hitting you in the face or something?

not quite... But i'm not a tall person so I can't really put my seat back tooooo much further. If I do then i'll be using my "tippy toes" to shift and what not... I just feel wierd... Maybe i'll just have to get used to it then...

I use a Sparco quick release with a MOMO hub. The Sparco unit only adds about 1/2" to the spacing, most of the quick release fits inside the momo hub adapter. They are not cheap though, about $500 Cdn.
