Default B20 manual transmission fluid + GM Syncromesh

I am sort of new to this, and the search did not answer my questions or too many threads existed with too much information... again sorry for my uneducated question.

Before winter comes, I need to replace my transmission fluid in my 1999 CRV with manual transmission. I am getting some 1st and 2nd gear grind (minor) and was going to go with GM Syncromesh transmission fluid.

How many quarts should I buy for my transmission?
What is my transmission code (too lazy to look, might as well ask)?
I'll be following directions from the Haynes book, but was wondering if you guys had any suggestions. First time doing this. Thanks

bump... i see you guys like answering "Hey what color should I paint my car?" and "What swap should I do?" questions rather then actual technical questions such as this.

this is a technical forum, and this thread got 96 views so far, and im sure at least 10 of those people did this before and have recomendations, but yet they seem to ignore these threads and go off to their "what color should i paint my car?" threads... which in my opinion are rediculous. http://www.vwvortex.com is a great resource for my vw needs, and they are extremely helpful (at least the mk2 forum) and HT should take a note of that. anyway now back to my question...

How about you go look it takes 2 seconds.

Look at your owners manual for how much fluid to put in.

Drain from drain bolt, put drain bolt back in, remove VSS and fill through there, and then put the vss back in.

You said it yourself. You're too lazy to do it for yourself. So why should we?

Don't forget to check the level, to make sure your lazy *** doesnt overfill the tranny.

If you are unsure of how to get the fluid in through the VSS.

It is easiest to get a funnel and some hose, just think of a beerbong for your tranny fluid.
