Default Engine doesnt want to start when cold but once warmed starts fine, o2 sensor?

car: 95 civic ex 5spd stock

started off like this!
driving one night and rammed a manhole, imediately got a cel (code41) and exhaust was leaking. i examined this and i dented the oil pan, downpipe pretty bad, and the exhaust flange was bent. so im driving the car the way it is for a few days until i get some time to fix it. a couple days later i notice the car does not want to start in the morning. it actually feels like its being starved of fuel. but i could smell mad fuel so i figured that wasnt the issue. after cranking it a few times and nothing i had gas pedal to the floor and i actually got the car cranked over but it was idling real low and felt like it was gonna stall. i still had my foot on the gas full throttle because i felt if i let it off it would stall, well after like 2 seconds of the car struggling to stay on it seems like it cleared up and it was idiling normal and was able to feel a normal rev from the car. i drove the car for a while and then parked it, later that day went out and started no problem. the next morning was the same issue, this time was not able to get it started before the battery went dead from me cranking to much. so i would jump the car and tried cranking many times and finally the same thing, turned over, idled real low and then went to normal after few seconds. so i had to start fixing this issue asap, i replace the header and since i couldnt get the o2 sensor out of the dented header i used another 4wire i had laying around. now i assumed the car would fire right up. i reset the ecu and tried cranking it over, same thing! but this time i finally got it started within 7-10 times. drove the car that night with no cel and the next morning it started right up. so im like great , the code 41 was limiting me from starting it up! so the next day i go outside and seems like it was back to the way it was, this time it allowed me to crank it over with a couple times but still felt like it wanted to stall out. so as of right now i do not have any cels and the car still feels like it wants to stall out when i finally get it cranked over. anyone have any ideas?

you said you can smell the fuel, i cant smell my fuel at all unless im pumping it into the car, so it sounds like a fuel issue to me

check if all the sensors are connected or if the wires have been torn or cut it was a big hit if you messed your oil pan and header it prolly moved engine badly prolly tor a wire or something
